That’s the encapsulating duo of Sareem Poems and Ess Be transformed into Scene 1 and Scene 2 with you, the listener, fixed inside their ever-morphing prism. Each of these 5 songs add an array of colors and context to the shape of things as we know it.
The barbaric bass and clubbing wordplay of “Free Mind” beats sense into the senses of the nonsensical, urging the complacent to escape the inopportune isolation of self-confinement.
“Ay Yo!” blends tribal rhythms with boom-bap and deep house, remarkably intertwined with the foot-stomping energy of a collegiate step show. Its lyrics clap for the honor and respect of the fraternal Hip Hop culture.
“Idol Hands” is the tangible emotion of self-respect, individuality and reflection over soulful pianos and drums as unpredictable as day-to-day life.
From there “Groovy” is more carefree but not care-less. It’s the low-end theory of a whip packed with your tribe, riding slow with the windows down and system up. The trunk’s knocking, heads are nodding, and the vibe is fresh-air conditioned.
The subs continue swelling on the thumping final track “Forever Everything”, a lesson in realness that hits like a close-range cannonball made of hard truth. This is sound bombing, this is sound-offing, this is sound mature thinking with the speakers pounding.
